
~ Hatha Yoga with Leora Sanchez ~Hatha Yoga is the perfect way to unwind, soothe the body, and calm the mind.
Catching the thread of the breath and moving with the breath through basic, yet essential asana (yoga postures) creates an inward experience that will leave you feeling relaxed, clear, and “better than you were before”.
What is Hatha Yoga? Hatha Yoga is a centuries-old system of practice that uses the body and breath to work with the natural forces of the body (energies of the body and the intelligence of prana) to access the power of the mind. Hatha Yoga includes asana, pranayama (breath practices), lifestyle observances, and meditation. The intention behind these practices is to reduce the effects of an uncontained mind, and an unbalanced nervous system.
What to expect: I’ll guide you through a 60 – 75 minute asana practice that starts with centering and diaphragmatic breath training, warm-up stretches, easing into an asana practice that includes breath-aligned movement, classical asana poses, and guided relaxation practice, closing the class with a relaxed meditative seat.
Open to all levels, private classes are designed to connect the mind, body, and breath for a noticeable reset, and relaxing experience.
