~ Summer of Joy ~
Moss Beach, California
I lived in Moss Beach, CA for a summer while the owners of the property that I housesat, Rupa, of the San Francisco band, “Rupa and the April Fishes”, her husband Ben, “Ben of Big Sur”, and their baby boy toured Eastern Europe.
~Summer of Joy & Love~
Wrapped in a blanket, I lounged around on the deck every day, sun or fog, drifting in and out of summer dreams, and the lullabye of the crashing surf. I bathed in the garden every evening with a glass of wine while the daisys grooved to Bob Marley’s “Three little Birds”.
I smoked grass and danced in the moonlight and wrote poetry about love. I colored mandalas by candle light, combed the beach by day and laughed out loud while snuggled against my lover in the midnight hour.
Life was wonderfully rose tinted, beautiful and sweetly simple.
