Ingredients:
- 3 cups boiling water
- 2 tablespoons NamasTea (Camellia Sinensis – Single Estate Tea from the Nilgiri Mountains)
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 to 1⅓ cups whole milk
- 1 pinch green cardamom powder
Instructions:
- Bring water to a boil.
- Add ginger and black pepper; boil for 2 minutes.
- Add NamasTea and boil for 5 more minutes.
- Add milk and return to a rolling boil for 2 minutes.
- Add cardamom, remove from heat, cover, and let steep for 5 minutes.
- Strain and serve warm.
Optional Notes:
- Use more NamasTea for a stronger brew.
- If using low-fat milk, slightly increase milk ratio to retain creaminess.
- For cold chai: cool to room temperature, refrigerate, and enjoy chilled.
